Glevum joins ‘The Aspire 100’ Alliance

Glevum Security is one of the first members to join a new contract security industry initiative named ‘The Aspire 100’ launched by The Security Watchdog, the international security risk services group. The initiative is designed to offer industry representation to national, regional and local member companies who already participate in the Security Industry Association’s ACS (Approved Contractor Scheme) but who are not currently ranked in the Infologue Top 20 Guarding Companies whose annual turnovers range from £23M - £380M.
Terry O’Neil, Chairman of The Security Watchdog, states: “We are delighted that Glevum Security has joined The Aspire 100. The objective in establishing ‘The Aspire 100’ alliance is to provide a nurturing platform for calibre organisations such as Glevum to collaborate with and support each other in offering the UK Client base an alternative quality service option. We also see a role for members to work in harmony with the Top 20 in supporting regional workforces, where required.”

Now in its third year, the Inspiration in HR Award provides these professionals with the recognition they very much deserve.
This year's Judging Panel included Baroness Henig, Chair of the SIA, Skills for Security Chief Executive David Greer, Una Riley from Professional Security and Brian Sims, Editor of SMT Online and Group Content Editor of UBM Live Division's Security Portfolio, and was chaired by the BSIA's Chief Executive, John Bates.

Successful ACS Annual Assessment

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) provides a universally recognised hallmark of quality for suppliers of private security services.
The ACS accreditation mark will enable procurers of private security services to distinguish between potential suppliers quickly, accurately and objectively. It provides assurance that the accredited provider has met a clearly defined and independently assessed set of quality standards throughout their business. As a result, purchasers of private security services can be confident that the quality of services they receive and the capabilities of the people deployed under contract meet the highest industry standards.

SIA ACS Assesments...

The the 15th & 16th November 2006 Glevum Security was assessed by an SIA ACS Inspector to verify it met the relevant criteria to be accredited with Approved Contractor Status. On the final day the Inspector stated Glevum had not only met the standard but in most areas had exceeded the standard.
